Snow Day = TpT Creations!

SNOW DAY!!!! YAHHH!!!! One inch on the ground and this county closes school, so different from where I grew up. There had to be 6 inches or more for sure. Anyways, I went to bed last night expecting the snow day, but still got everything ready and continued with my normal routine (just a little superstition I guess).

So I have spent my morning and afternoon creating some new TpT packs. The first one was an Ancient Civilizations: Greece, Rome and the Empire of Mali Pack. Here in VA our SOLs 3.1, 3.2 and 3.4 are teaching these three ancient civilizations. This pack might only be eye catching to those in VA teaching these standards, but many states and grades are responsible for teaching ancient Greece and Rome.

The next is a set of posters that explain the writing process:

And lastly, a set of 20 posters that explain and give examples of the different types of words:

Check them out! As always, the first 5 people to comment on this blog post will get their choice of one of these packs for FREE! In return all I ask is for those who win to PIN the picture from above on Pinterest to spread the word. Okay, now I'm off to hopefully try and not do any school related things on my glorious SNOW DAY!!!!

**Just found out I have another SNOW DAY tomorrow!! Maybe some more TpT products?

NEW!! Spring Pack and Currently!

It's March, almost springtime, and the school year is just flying by! Only three more weeks until my family and I are off to the most magical place on the planet...Disney World! My daughter is 3 1/2 years old and obsessed with the Disney princesses. I am so excited, probably just as much as she is. I have already purchased a living social deal for $9 20 page hard cover photobooks so that I can get busy documenting our memories.

My third graders are in rare form, it's getting warmer here in NOVA, spring break is looming, and we are T-minus 66 days of school left! We are getting down to the nitty gritty with our units and realizing that we shouldn't have spent so much time doing this and not enough time doing that...and SOLs are coming right up. Anyways, I have started two packs since the New Year and neither one got finished because I have been so busy. But today I sat down and banged out a NEW Spring pack! Full of language arts (reading, writing and grammar worksheets) and math (multiplication, division, and number sense). So here it is: Spring Language Art and Math Pack.

And now for one of my favorite parts of blogging and the beginning of a new month: Currently, brought to you by Farley at Oh Boy, 4th Grade.
Listening: Doesn't matter what I am ever TRYING to listen to, I am always hearing my louder than life daughter. She is absolutely silly, crazy, smart and beautiful...and 50% of the day annoying because she is 3!

Loving: My first 5 mile run, completed in seconds over 50 minutes! I am so proud of myself for continuing to run, even though I absolutely hated it when I started. I set out Saturday morning for a "long" run and just said that I would go as far as I could. I did a 4 mile, unexpected run about 2 weeks ago and thought as long as I went more than that, I would be happy.

Thinking: I am so ready for Spring Break at Disney World. SO. FREAKIN. EXCITED!!!

Wanting: I do believe that every weekend should be 3 days. Even if I had to teach 1.5 hours longer every day, I would like to have more of a weekend.

Needing: I asked to move to K next year and my school might be doing some switching around with looping and classrooms...so I am really anxious to find out what I will be teaching.

Like: Livin' on a Prayer by Bon Jovi...my favorite band, ever!
Love: Leggings...I wear them all the time. They are so comfy!
Hate: Lesson Plans...boooooo! Although, really they do help keep me organized. So I guess I just hate the thought and process of writing them.

The first five people to comment and PIN my NEW Spring Pack will get it for free!!! Have a great week everyone!
